Touted as “the loudest store in the mall,” Hot Topic caters to teens with over 600 retail locations nationwide.
In 1996, Hot Topic became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Shredded skinny jeans and tight t-shirts that scream “I’m with the band” — housing a distinct inventory, Hot Topic
was seeking digital platforms that would enhance the shopping experience without detracting from the brand’s rough
and raw bent.
We created a slew of innovative technologies that rang true with the teen segment, like our “rock wall” —
a touchscreen display for browsing the online inventory of band tees — and a digital screen that showcased music videos and live social media streams in tandem. Stage lighting, audio and content were controlled in-house on a
single console.
